As I sit at my desk and the end of 2016 draws near, I like to look back and consider what we’ve achieved. This year 5,440 people attended our training events and as I reflect my overwhelming feeling is how lucky we are here in Australia to have the incredible healthcare providers and services we have.

My team and I completed 174 practice visits, took 67 flights and presented at 79 events and conferences to over 2154 health professionals.

It has been wonderful working with both the Australian Digital Health Agency & the Department of Health and experiencing a collaborative approach to implementing major healthcare changes.

I have particularly enjoyed working with all 31 of the Primary Health Networks this past year, upskilling practices & staff on the national My Health Record system as well as MedicalDirector and Best Practice Software.

The Train IT Medical team have continued our ongoing project work which includes cancer prevention initiatives with Cancer Institute of NSW as well as secure messaging and SmartForms and we spent 143 days in total working with Aboriginal Medical Services focusing on practice process improvements, data quality and staff development. Huge shoutout of appreciation to Sue Cummins, Project Manager and Senior Trainer.

Our Top 5 requested training topics in 2016 were:

  1. My Health Record/Digital Health
  2. Data Quality
  3. Recall and Reminder Systems
  4. Electronic Correspondence Management
  5. Advanced use of MedicalDirector, PracSoft & Best Practice Software.

I am thrilled to report, following feedback from attendees at our training, that 100% say they would recommend our services and that the changes implemented following training would save them time and money in the practice.

What benefits have you gained from using Train IT Medical services?

How many online sessions we did 83

When I do look back on our year my overwhelming feeling is one of gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had to meet and work with such wonderful, caring healthcare professionals and support teams and travel across this beautiful country doing so. It is our Christmas wish for you all that you get a much-deserved break.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

We thank you for all you do and for your continued support.

We will return on 16 January 2017 and look forward to working with you again in the new year!
